WAVE Road Trip to the Capitol: Free Lunch, Swag & BIG Prizes!
Dear WAVE Students (Grades 7-12) and Families!
Get ready for a road trip!
We are thrilled to announce that WAVE has won a grant to transport our students to the Idaho State Capitol for the 2026 School Choice Week Capitol Rally! We want to load up the bus and take as many WAVE students (Grades 7-12) as possible to represent our school at this massive statewide celebration.
The Event: Tuesday, January 27, 2026
We are heading to the Capitol Rotunda in Boise to join students from charter, magnet, and alternative schools across the state. It will be a high-energy rally featuring student spotlights, performances, and a celebration of educational freedom in Idaho.
The Itinerary: A Morning of Fun
We have a packed schedule designed for fun and connection. Here is the plan for the day:
9:00 AM – Arrival at WAVE Nampa Campus: Students arrive to check in.
Kick off the morning with fun games and tasty snacks.
Connect with your friends and peers.
Pick up your WAVE SWAG.
Receive your Raffle Ticket (don't lose this!).
10:00 AM – Bus Departs: The bus will leave promptly at 10:00 AM. Note: You must be on the bus to participate in the raffle.
11:00 AM - 12:15 PM – The Rally: We will attend the School Choice Celebration at the Capitol.
12:45 PM – Depart Capitol: Lunch is provided as we board the bus for the return trip.
1:30 PM (approximate) – Return: Arrive back at the WAVE Nampa Campus.

The journey is half the fun! Thanks to this grant, we are pulling out all the stops:

How to win: Drawings will take place on the bus during the ride to the Capitol and on the ride home. You must be on the bus to win.
Lunch Provided: No need to pack a lunch! Food will be distributed before we board the bus to return, and students will enjoy their lunch on the ride back to Nampa.
